How the chemistry helps us

Chemistry is a very old science that studies different kinds of matters. The alchemists are considered to be the first chemists. They tried to find the elixir of life and manage to transform iron ore into gold. Modern chemistry mainly works with atoms, compounds, reactions that occur between substances, and changes of energy that occur during those processes. The other purpose of that modern science is to find the laws which may describe the relations and phenomena in chemical reactions. That can help to generate the needed substances synthetically. Chemistry cooperates quite closely with biology and physics.

Inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry analytical chemistry, physical and biological chemistry are the parts of general definition “Chemistry”.

The calling of organic chemistry has been proposed because chemists believed that the organic elements have the connection to the life. However, this was a misconception. Organic components can be produced in ways which do not involve life or living objects. Simultaneously, lots of inorganic elements are essential to life, for example copper or iron.

Organic chemistry deals mainly with chemical compounds which comprise carbon and hydrogen. Their features are studied in detail and the results of analysis are quite useful. A great deal of different products that we use in daily life has been invented with assistance of organic components.

The section of chemistry that studies the mixes of both organic and inorganic elements is named analytical chemistry. It studies geometric features of atoms, composition and other characteristics. It also executes the researches to determine the combination and characteristics of given elements. Analytical and physical chemistry are quite similar, because they research the same reactions but take some different information from them. The chemists that work in this field bring much for the saving of natural resources and the safety of the environment.
